Decide: #3 Decide to Learn

It’s easy to think, to plan, to contemplate and just…do nothing. Often there exists a gap between the thinking and planning, to the actual action of doing and creating. The gap is where we make choices, we decide. And often, we spend ages in that space just cruising along.

So, decide.

This post came late, at a weekend that I was completely floored by a flu, cough, sinus headache and nausea. It’s interesting how a common cold can morph into something that brought me to a standstill. So I looked at what my body could possibly be telling me.

Decide: #3 Decide to Rest
Resting means giving myself time to evaluate or ‘switch off’, in this case. To stop constantly chewing on issues in my head. It required asking for support when I couldn’t do it all alone. More importantly, it required me to trust my own body to heal in its own time.
Being a go-getter doesn’t mean having to be on the go all the time. It means, also proactively, taking rest breaks to take stock of everything.
Whatever time you get to read this post, is likely an overdue reminder for you. It is no coincidence. So, decide.
